ICOHAR brings together representatives from the public health, medical and veterinary sectors, and scientists working in antimicrobial drug discovery, prevention, treatment and control of multidrug-resistant bacteria. The conference is organised by 3 projects funded by the EU Commission: TRAIN-ASAP, the Danish Research Council for Strategic Research (DanCARD) and the University of Copenhagen (UC-Care).
The idea behind this event is to share cutting-edge research and promote interdisciplinary and intersectorial collaboration in Antimircrobial Resistance through a One Health approach.

The organisation of ICOHAR is progressing smoothly. There have been over 50 abstracts received and the programme includes contributions by top scientists in the area of antimicrobial drug discovery such as Bob Hancock, Miguel Camara and Hans Georg Sahl.
